Some Mantissa-fu needed there. Never my strong suit, but unless there’s a range check that returns a different type, I don’t see what this has to do with Scala

Second, because you lose precision on the first, when summing biggest number to smallest.

Generally, yes, but is the range of mantissa in question sufficient that we ever actually start losing precision?
