Totally unsurprising life hack: a little bit of regular, very reasonable weight lifting, and regular stretches, completely got rid of back pains that I eventually realised were always present, to varying degrees, for the past 5 years or so.
Ok, well I'm where you were two years ago, but with some dumbbells on order.

Get a coach. You will either hurt yourself, lose motivation or work harder for fewer results otherwise. I hesitated for months, but I do not regret it for a second. Best money I spent.

Weekly Pilates session (with coach) did it for me (took less to be pain free, and then also added split keyboard and new chair to make it even better). Also best money I spent (we’re in full lockdown so haven’t done a session in 1.5 months, it’s showing)

I've tried pilates and this is *hard*! I think I'd enjoy it quite a bit with a coach, but by myself with books and videos is just too hard. Instead, I've taken to rope jumping for a good cardio workout
