This morning I checked out of my apartment in Kraków for the last time, after eighteen fantastic months in Poland (despite half of it being under some degree of lockdown). You'll find me living in Germany for the foreseeable future. Just to be clear...it has a lot to live up to.

One where I spend a year and a half in each country? It's not such a bad idea, and if I'm lucky I'll get another 39 years in which I can visit every other EU country!

Do you have a UK Passport? Is it not the case that you can only spend 90 out of any 180 days in an EU country without a work permit or visa or something? (Be great if I am wrong on this BTW :) )

I believe something like that is the case, yes. I got German residency a couple of months ago (while it was still easy) but I doubt my eighteen-months-in-each-country plan would be fully compatible with my British passport. :(
