that’s about where I ended up on this, as a SIP committee member. I had and continue to have mixed feelings about this change, but by nature, language inventors are bold and committees are cautious

I draw the line at three spaces. I actually like significant indentation, though not enough to fight over it, but I will die on the hill of two space indent.

I used to think that about three spaces, and then I went and added 50% more indenting to my code, which was about ten minutes I could have spent on something else, but anyway now it's three spaces, and actually life is kind of the same.

I fall back on the fact that nearly all of the tooling in the universe assumes either 2 or 4 spaces, or at most 8 spaces if you're some weird Linux kernel hacker.
