I draw the line at three spaces. I actually like significant indentation, though not enough to fight over it, but I will die on the hill of two space indent.
I used to think that about three spaces, and then I went and added 50% more indenting to my code, which was about ten minutes I could have spent on something else, but anyway now it's three spaces, and actually life is kind of the same.

I fall back on the fact that nearly all of the tooling in the universe assumes either 2 or 4 spaces, or at most 8 spaces if you're some weird Linux kernel hacker.

I do actually sympathize. I think it's the wrong decision. But if I ever start converting some more of my code to 3-space indentation I'm going to experiment with indenting overflowed long lines with just a single space (rather than the double indent of 4 that I use now).
