What English word would you use to describe a particular example of a type constructor, in the sense that `List[Int]` and `List[String]` are examples of `List`s? I'd like to avoid calling them "examples" if possible.

Instances? Manifestations ? :)
Instances is what they'd normally be called, but it's too easily confused with object instantiation, which is the main thing I want to make clear. Even calling them "type instances" could be confusing to a beginner... Manifestations would have made the shortlist, I think. ;)
