What English word would you use to describe a particular example of a type constructor, in the sense that `List[Int]` and `List[String]` are examples of `List`s? I'd like to avoid calling them "examples" if possible.

“A concrete element of the family of types List”?
I don't like "element" just because of the use of element to mean an item in a collection... but I haven't used the word "family" in any way, and now I'm wondering if it would be a useful descriptive term (without pretending that it has a solid technical definition...)
