This actually uses a feature I added to Magnolia a couple of years ago after discussing it with @tpolecat because Doobie in particular needed it (product- without coproduct-derivation). The feature got merged into Magnolia, but I never found time to go back and use it in Doobie!

would be great to see Scala 3 support in magnolia. It would be an enabler type class derivation acrross major versions.

Thanks for the mention :) At this point I'm convinced the combination shapeless and (non-cached) auto-derivation is responsible for so much of the bad compile times we've been seeing over the years. Interesting times ahead with Scala 3 type class derivation and magnolia :)
