I'm trying to encourage the use of "template" to describe class and trait definitions—distinct from the types those definitions imply. I think it had bad connotations in C++, but the word is perfect for describing what it represents: every gap must be filled in on instantiation.
I'm not sure, I never looked. But I know you'll remember very clearly that objects are called "Modules" in the compiler, so there's not always consistent naming inside and out...

Yeah, I still remember the enormous hand-wringing when I tried to make that consistent. :-) In my current language project I went with modules, both inside and outside the compiler.
