Some sad news today: due to somewhat foreseen circumstances, we've decided on balance, to scale back our plans for Scala Castle. Since we started planning in June, travel to the UK has become more difficult for many of our guests, so we're going to pivot to an online-only event.
The online event will be changed slightly from our original plans: @odersky and @pawelprazak will still speak on Tuesday, 15 September, joined by @jorvasquez2301 from @scalac_io, but the remaining talks will now happen at a more leisurely pace through September and October.
The castle is still there; England's mountains and lakes haven't gone anywhere; and other opportunities will come! So while 2020 has been difficult to plan in almost every respect, http://Scala.world and http://Sphere.it will return in 2021, and we can't wait!
