@jdegoes! If you are still out there and can hear me after you blocked me for exposing your BS, it's all good bud. We are still waiting for the apology you told @propensive you were gonna give to the community for LC. Don't worry I'm no asking for the sponsor money back.

For the record, I requested it after some people told me that's what they wanted to hear, and my request was heard: it was neither more nor less than that.

Is it what you wanted to hear? Has it happened? Or do we just brush it off? Why is your keynote banned and censured from his conf and he gets to invite those other questionable speakers and it's all good while he continues to mock others work?

I believe an apology given under duress isn't worth very much, unfortunately. A lot of people would love to see
@jdegoes shamed, but theirs would be a Pyrrhic victory. I would much rather see positive change for the community. But if John wants to apologise, that would be great.2 replies 0 retweets 6 likes -

I don't want him shamed, I wanted him to apologize like any human with common sense would after all this. I want him in biz and respectful to other's work.

There is a lot of support for shaming John, nevertheless. And if I were to guess, I think it makes him less likely to satisfy those people with an apology. But the idea that an apology would fix everything is a bit of a fantasy.

I apologized so far in the year multiple times for wrongdoings to many people. It's not hard you just get started with "I apologize..." or "I'm sorry..." and that makes you more humble and accepted even when you fuck up in stunts like LC. He can do one at a time or a combo.

Then when people come back with the BS we can just link to his apology and all good, more companies will use Zio

I'm not defending the lack of an apology, but I strongly expect to read people saying, "yeah, but he only apologised because so many people put pressure on him to do it."

Sure. I'm only trying to explain it rather than justify it.
