please realize that you saying saying "but he's been so sweet whenever I've been with him", is worth nothing, there are hundreds of people that might be willing to offer such a thing up.... This isn't about you, or the people you've "witnessed extensively and exclusively"

Hmm I think I've already proved myself more than willing to also point out what garbage other Scala people like Paul Phillips, Tony Morris, Paul Snively, etc. are, but I'll try a little harder.

I hadn't failed to notice that, but it has been disproportionate with John. That's maybe not surprising, because he's more visible than any of the others (now, at least) and more successful, which is a sufficient condition to attract more attention.

My biggest gripe has always been that it always reflects badly on the Scala community. As
@posco effectively said (while omitting that the behavior is symmetrical), people have become tribal, and no longer bother to read all the evidence. -
It reflects badly on the Scala community because the Scala community is unbelievably fucked up. Also I kind of resent the suggestion that I haven't bothered to read enough of De Goes's writing, surely that's not in question at this point.
