But also the fact that someone who speaks often can provide ample evidence of many different and even conflicting beliefs. Here, I know I'm generally more charitable than most, but I know I've said things I wouldn't say again, and most people don't get their tweets curated.
I still think that a public comment or post that de Goes rejects Yarvins white supremacist views would go a long way. That that never happened suggests to me that not alienating those that support those views from his business was seen as more important.
To be fair I think De Goes has done something like that, but nobody is (credibly) arguing that he shares Yarvin’s views. The problem is that he has repeatedly denied that Yarvin is a white supremacist, and has attacked people for saying otherwise (and for many other things).
