I've yet to make the leap to enjoying music that I don't physically have a copy of and this is the reason why.
WiFi network is up, but Internet is down. Unfortunately, that's enough to make my home speaker refuse to play music.

Luckily, even without a decent internet connection, I have all of Beethoven's symphonies on my phone, and can play them over bluetooth through my piano's speaker. ;)

That’s really bad design. Public shaming time: what make and model is the aforementioned speaker?

I want to be sure it's not my own incompetence before shaming anyone. ;) But it uses a Spotify protocol which, I think, uses my phone to tell the speaker what to download and play. And it downloads from the internet, not my phone.

You know what my home speakers are connected to? Analog audio wires from the analog receiver.

Looked into getting my power points outfitted with CAT5 to reduce wifi usage. The contractor bid was like 20 grand. Back to wifi.
