I don't feel like I've tweeted lately about how much I hate configuring jvm logging frameworks with weird files on the classpath. Can we just configure things with, like function calls and arguments?
This is a pet hate of mine. Properties, environment variables, classpath files, bytecode configuration, "sensible defaults"... and nobody has a clue which one takes precedence.
