I have written a very beginner JavaScript recently after 7 years. I could see that the post ES6+ version, the syntax of JS is very similar to Scala and Fn programming. then why fn programmers hate JavaScript? just curious to know from experts. :)

JavaScript has always been more functional than Java, but also less typesafe, and I think that having a working mental model for its various type coercions is unnecessarily hard. I wouldn't say I hate it.
