I went for a run tonight, and managed a touch over 3km. It was awful. I've gone six weeks without running before, and got back into it without much trouble, but never six weeks of barely moving. The mask over my face and the 5kg I've gained probably didn't help either.

That's a runner reality :), 3 weeks and you'll be back in shape. In my case, it always motivates me to work harder and do not take breaks.

I'm satisfied I made a full circuit without stopping, but I was in some pain towards the end... I usually need a week of somewhat-enforced running to get the addiction, then I get the motivation for free. I'll need some discipline over the next few days...

5:30min/km is quite fast after a longer break imho. What's your normal pace? I'm currently forcing myself to run slower to keep me heart rate low. I've read that this will lead to a better basic endurance. Quite boooring, but also relaxing.

"Usually" (let's say, after a month of training, 3-4 times a week) I would be doing about 4m45 for 10km. The pace was actually a pleasant surprise at the end, given how I was feeling...
