I don't get all this hype around an app to track infected people. It's now evident that at least 90% of infected don't know they are. Around the half of the persons knowning of being infected will actually register themselves. Is tracking 5% of contagious people still useful?

Tracking is relevant to get the network and to act when someone them gets identified as a carrier. What has been the contact network during the time when virus might have been contagious. Or that is how understood it.

I understood that. I question if tracking only 5% of carriers would be still relevant though.

Raising 0.95 to the 13th power is about 0.5.
