Natural selection doesn't really help much when all those dying are already long finished with procreation. Though maybe we should be assessing potential partners by the strength of their parents and grandparents in the face of Coronaviral adversity.

I agree there are benefits, when amortized over a sufficiently long period, though I interpreted your mention of "natural selection" purely in the context of the impact of Covid-19 deaths on the gene pool. If you meant more broadly, then... sure.
