However wrong she was, it's probably background noise at best, and there's a fair amount of hindsight in the judgement on her. Imagine she raised the alarm in January. By February there's still no major panic, and she looks alarmist, then by March people aren't listening to her.

I think the tide of public awareness would have turned at the same time regardless, and her impact was negligible. That's not too say that I think her messaging is good in any way. But it's a stretch to suggest with any confidence that she changed anything materially.

There are millions of people out there busily being wrong all the time, many of them with other comorbid character flaws. I think she's just one more.

Yeah, it's certainly undesirable. I only hope she's captured the 49% of human mindshare rather than the 51%, to keep us staggering in vaguely the right direction.
