This is a common UI flaw. Twitter search does it too. Human reaction time is about 50ms. Needs some good testing but yeah for about 50-100ms it should go to the old result instead. Iirc sprinting also rules <100ms reaction to the start signal as a false start. Some leeway for those that anticipate results and you end up near 50 again ^^
