Aren't they actually different? It translates to different names in Polish and I have seen both. They look different.

Beg to disagree, in Catalan parsley is julivert (https://www.enciclopedia.cat/ec-gec-0118367.xml … ) and parsnip is xirivia (https://www.enciclopedia.cat/ec-gec-0151815.xml …). Who told you otherwise...?
