I currently need to check Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Discord, Slack, Gitter, Telegram, email and Github for notifications. It's completely ridiculous and I resent that this is what life in 2020 is like. But at least those nine windows tile nicely on my huge screen.

Need to consolidate. Slack can replace Gitter in most cases, right? Github -> email. etc.
I'm not sure Slack can be used as easily for public chatrooms as Gitter. This was cited as a reason for using Discord over Slack originally. But Riot has both Slack and Gitter integrations, so it can (in theory) replace both, though it needs cooperation from the Slack channel.
