I watched the first two episodes this Christmas. From the PoV of someone who hasn't watched a TV series since about 2001, I thought the production quality was good, and the fact I was watching a TV show was novel, but I wasn't convinced by the story or dialogue.
Of course, I'm a terrible person to make any judgement, because I've got nothing much to compare it to from the last twenty years. But I was thinking to myself "they just wouldn't behave like that in that scenario" just as much as I have with almost everything I've seen recently.
