I bought a new laptop, and I can't install Linux on it, so until I can, I'm just going to have to coerce Fury into working on Windows.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 (13"). Not a single Linux installer I've tried (Arch, Gentoo, Ubuntu, Mint) will boot as far as a command prompt.

Could be a problem with UEFI compatible boot? If so, you should force that legacy boot from the BIOS install your OS and then update it to support UEFI. Got similar problem when installing my OS(es) on my laptop

No, I don't think so. I can start the bootloaders, but they all halt soon afterwards. I think I need to build my own kernel to boot from.
