You mean, besides not having the guts to post using their actual name?
I don't disagree with working towards these goals, but I think you've chosen an ambiguous tweet to use as an example, and in doing so, it's targeted someone who is so frequently the target of criticism that people only see it as tribalism, rightly or wrongly.

But there are plenty of other examples out there which aren't from
@jdegoes. The thing is, people like to have a sense of humor, and feel like they're making someone laugh. It's good for morale. I'm reluctant to call anyone out on it when the jokes are at nobody else's expense. -
At the risk of over-litigating this issue, see previous tweet where
@LiquidSloshalot noted its status as "joke" wasn't all that obvious. IMO, your focus on the "joke" bit is rather side-stepping the point. And, with that (and my less rude recent response to @scala_the), I'm out. - Show replies
