I tried quickly but had issues I failed to diagnose (probably with implicit namespace pollution) so I went back to shapeless
Now I hope to have the time to give it a stab again, as I am drowning in implicit namespace pollution issues anyway 
When you have time to look again, ask me anything. :) If you have annotations anywhere, or you saw compiler crashes, @joro_kr has fixed a few bugs here recently, so it might "just work" if you try again.
