@c05m1x has done a wonderful job putting together @BeeScalaConf in Ljubljana. It's the only conference where I've had to spend fifteen minutes walking up a hill through woods to reach the venue.
Must try harder for Scala World next year...

How about Sparta?
I mean, it's not that absurd. Sparti *is* a real town in Greece. It's just kinda hard to get there. I came there on a bicycle, but there's also a bus from Athens. It's in a valley with mountains guarding it from three sides. -
