Dumb question I suppose, but is there a reason we're not using graalvm native for scalac nowadays to avoid "hot"ness as a thing for our compiler?
native-image actually does support macros! it just needs to have the macro definitions available at native-image build time — we have some half-finished code (sorry!) @pantsbuild to perform the appropriate invalidation whenever a macro definition is changed
