I haven't written any code in whitespace-significant Scala 3 yet, but I'm warming to the idea. I might have a go at converting some of my existing code later this week, then maybe I can report back on my experience.

Having not really ever used an IDE (despite starting to appreciate Metals a bit recently), I hope I'll be able to give an account which is independent of any tooling presumptions.

I was going to do the same. Would be interested in your experience on tab spacing makes sense - i.e., if people can then adjust the spacing for their preferred editors.

Mostly I still use Vim. I've been using Metals off-and-on for about two months, and I still prefer Vim, but I'm slowly transitioning.
