Theory: Engineers are never “done” getting better at time estimation. As soon as you get “better”, you’re asked to estimate bigger, more complex, more ambiguous projects, and you have to level up all over again.

there's Excell to fill. And customers want to know when it's done (even more if said customer doesn't know what should be done. It must work. But not like that, though)

So we're back to what it is, an estimation (aka: approximation). Something you actually do for yourself daily even subconsciously, for prioritizing what you tackle in the morning or in the afternoon. Never super accurate, just a help.

What's wrong is to ask for it as if it was a deadline written in stone.
