Just when I thought I was getting my head around Polish's five genders and seven grammatical cases, it throws me a blinder...pic.twitter.com/8Ynmy321Ay

As a matter of fact, English is exactly the same. The reason most native speakers don't realise that is because it supports implicit conversions from 'year'

"Lata" is plural of "lato" - summer. We say things like "5 summers ago" and I think it's kind of cute

Jon, have you already looked at „dog” (pies)? You might have equal amount of fun with it 😉

I've never looked it up, but I've seen that it's sometimes pies, and sometimes psa... and I already gussed inevitably not just those two possibilities!

Classical polish language meme by @nathell. Polish language – would you like to play a game :Dpic.twitter.com/j86Z4drzx5

So in English these 98 words would be: play, played, playing, plays, game and games (assuming I leave out any general auxiliary words like "would"). Have I missed any?

"Один, Год" is ironically quite appropriate for where you are right now... ;)
