Well, I'll keep Edinburgh for next time, now the plan is to discover the Lake District (with exception of Hadrians wall). Hope the weather will sit 'cause we plan to hike to Blencathra and Langdale Pikes

The Langdale Pikes are great! Try to hike up to Stickle Tarn then turn left at the top. I'd also suggest hiking from Grasmere up to Easedale, or Brothers' Water up Dovedale. We will be hiking from Buttermere to Borrowdale on Saturday 31st August.

Will check the others, thanks for the tip. Hope we save some power for the Saturday But that shouldn't be that hard, right? -
General advice about walking: if you get tired, don't go any further from your destination. ;) You might ache most about two days after a difficult hike, but you can usually hike through the pain. Walking downhill using sticks can help save your quads.
