About once a month via @Meetup messaging, I send a draft when I meant to insert a line break with shift+enter. Why is it backwards?!?

That's the thing: I don't know! But I have enough uncertainty about it to be a little afraid of pressing "enter" (with or without "shift").

When and why did that ever change? I still prefer *bold* and _italic_, but at least people seem to have migrated. consistently.
