I really like this kind of embarrassingly obvious realization.

I used to call 30 each deuce. But my mother told me it may be the same distance to the end of the game but it’s not the same distance from the beginning.

Deuce #0, optional (may or may not happen), like other deuces. Actually I used to think of deuce as 30-30 (the other way around) when I was a kid. It's easier for arbiters as well to reset deuce to 30-30 so they won't need to even know players' names.

I prefer that too, now you mention it! Though the condition for winning a game is basically, "score at least two more points than your opponent, and at least four points". Similar to a short tiebreaker without the change of serve.
