I've been partially deaf for a couple of days, with no hearing in one ear. It's disconcerting, and I hear my own voice very loudly while everyone else complains I'm talking too quietly. But there's progress: today, I can hear much better if I tilt my head 90 degrees.

Now imagine having the same problem and being italian, that is really talking very loudly. Imagine how you would hear your voice. :) Joking aside, good luck!
