YouTube Premium is finally available in Romania and I've subscribed to the family plan. No more ads (which can't be blocked in the mobile app). More companies should do this. Give the ability to pay cash as an alternative to ads and many people might do it.
It's a dangerous move for many companies to offer this. They lose the ability to target adverts towards exactly the segment of the market that's self-selecting as willing to spend money.
