I've been to almost every Scala conference for the last decade. This year I'll go to 19 events, and it's too much. So I've decided to cut back in 2020 and just do five. It's been a wild ride: fun, enlightening, and at times heartwarming. I'll be sorry not to see you all so often.

So what about your carbon footprint for this last decade?
I have flown exclusively on flights which would have flown with or without me on them... What do you mean, "carbon footprint doesn't work like that"?

There is so many social aspect around conferences that I wonder how we could replace that with technology... Having in mind VR / virtual conferences. -
What if we both go to Scaladays by bike? Okay okay... It's a bit easier for me.
