+1 to this proposal from @JulienTruffaut. Prioritizing convenience for shitty adopters who can't keep their platforms up to date is a recipe for OSS maintainer burnout.https://github.com/julien-truffaut/Monocle/issues/643 …

Last time I tried to release Goggles, all the plugins & latest versions of everything didn't work together, it pushed a version bump but failed to deploy to Sonatype. Life's too short for the sbt pain zone, I'd rather stay in the shallow end

Fury may be a perfect solution which could help you tomorrow, when you're considering dropping 2.12 support, but it's not going to help today. It's just not ready yet. But to emphasise the first point, this is exactly the sort of problem Fury is intending to solve in the future.

"exactly the problem Fury is intending to solve" Indeed. I'm very much looking forward to this world. Really hope the effort ends up successful.

Thanks, Dave! I wanted to say that I appreciated your questions about Fury in Philadelphia. I'll certainly be pushing as hard as I can with it over the next few months!

Will you be at lambda jam in Melbourne next month? I'll see you there if so. Excited as it'll be my first "official", recorded presentation
