Hey #avro specialists, can someone tell me what the selected word below (which happens to be "selected"
) means?

Let me know if there's anything I can do to get this working. If Avro4s is already typeclass-based, it might be quite easy.
Yes it is. It's hand rolled macros. I'm about to move country so my time is limited until end of April, but my intention is to (try) to move everything to Magnolia and ditch all my own macros. I'd love that to be possible.
Almost fully converted avro4s over to magnolia now. What a brilliant project it is!! (magnolia not avro4s :)). I am having issues when I define an implementation for Coproduct, it doesn't seem to get picked up. And @transient isn't picked up as an annotation. Stay tuned.
I've released a snapshot of avro4s powered by magnolia. Only thing not working is recursive schemas. Everything else is working great and some long standing diverging implicit errors are now fixed. Find the snapshot from the badge on the homepagehttps://github.com/sksamuel/avro4s
