Yes, but if you see comments like these, which are obviously wrong, more than a couple of times, it can erode your confidence in other comments in the same codebase... and you would probably need to read all the code anyway... :(

I don't at all disagree, it's just that the comments that _seem_ plausible but are actually (subtly?) wrong scare me even more....
