there isn't a friendly place run by crooked orgs just like there aren't friendly people who just bully "that one guy no one likes anyways". you'd be living a lie. making the place attractive to more people just gives the bullies more prey to prowl upon.https://twitter.com/propensive/status/1085780937105846273 …

Yes, but I think the more you talk about this, the more "moderators" shift towards "bullies" in a "crooked organisation" and the language is fooling you into thinking they're something they're not: I really don't believe there's evil intent. They're doing their jobs; maybe badly.

right now I'm arguing against your imo outrageous suggestions rather than any specific situation or a specific group of people on reddit

I'm not sure why they seem outrageous. None of my suggestions are extreme in any way (it's somewhat against my nature). I've just shared ideas which I think should make the community more enjoyable for the majority of people (and defended them).

And I've gone further by suggesting to @fpmortals how he could enjoy his time there better. I don't think the suggestions are controversial. If they seem outrageous, I think you're seeing something I'm not.

And this is perhaps you make this suggestion, because you don't see this something. Say to someone who is victim of abuse of power for his words to stop to say what he say can be seem as outrageous.

Essentially what I said was, "the way you are saying things, people are misinterpreting you, and you could say these things differently so that they are less likely to." That's a bit more nuanced than the way it's paraphrased in your tweet, though.

What happened was not a misinterpreting, but was a abuse of power. And what
@fommil demonstrate is part of scala "core" community are not so inclusive, welcoming or benevolent as they pretend to be.3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

what i see in scala community is a lot of passive agressiveness, projection etc... That start with the king Odersky (that say publicly that scalaz entire community was troll).

Why do you choose to call him "king Odersky" in the same tweet as you're making an accusation of passive aggressiveness? I'm not aware of Martin calling the entire Scalaz community a troll, though I can believe it may have been said in frustration.

I think that's whatever @odersky has said about Scalaz over the years is countered a thousand times over by the things he's done to make Scala a welcoming community. I've been here fifteen years, so I've seen it all.

@fommil ans other member of the scalaz/FP community.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
