Anyway, I tried to say this before, but I'm not defending the actions of the moderators. I'm explaining why we shouldn't be surprised that things like this happen. I don't know how Reddit choose moderators.
Again, this is stretching the moral equivalence, but I would not consider someone selfish for choosing the easier option of riding in their segregated seat because, say, they need to get the bus to work to earn money to feed their family.

I think this is not inconsistent with having the absolute admiration for those people who did take a stand in those circumstances.
