But I'll say again that I'm not trying to justify the ban. I don't think it was deserved, and I don't find @fpmortals anywhere near as annoying as other people seem to, but they had reasons for banning them, and I want people to understand them even if they don't agree with them.

This makes sense. It's hard to ford a way path where everyone is happy if one side believes their account is 100% correct, though. I cannot know, Mike's version of events, and to be gaslit and assumed a liar speaking in bad faith puts me in an impossible to win scenario

I think it's pretty much the decision of one individual to turn the sub-reddit from being a place to talk about Scala into a "Scala community" forum, with the associated ideology requirements, membership checks and policies on punishing unapproved opinions.
