As a gentle suggestion, I can heartily recommend not boarding a flight transiting through China without a boarding pass for the second leg of the journey, especially when the details for that flight are stored only in an email service which is blocked in China.

At least you can tweet from your labor camp. How’s the food?
It turns out that a copied-from-email entry in Google Calendar goes a long way. They let me escape to an Equatorial island paradise, and I've obviously just been catching up on my lost Internet time since I got here. The food, however, is delicious and non-processed!
