On a personal note, having 2018 off from Scala World was a great idea. I always love doing it, but now I'm feeling even more motivated for the next three years, and my preparations are way ahead of where I've been in past years. I'm going to be excited for the next twelve months.

No, there's no call for papers... I just go to every conference I can trying to find the best speakers to give the best talks. It's a year-long audition process, but it's worthwhile getting me to come to talks you give. I don't ever have the same speakers consecutive years.
