I'm saying, don't get depressed that 1% of 1% of the population are showing themselves to be awful human beings. An overreaction is also bad: it makes those few look powerful in having provoked it, and they don't deserve that. Any response has to be proportionate.
Though that's not to say that more of a response than the authorities have enacted so far would be beneficial. I think you know much better than I do about what they are and are not doing...
