I'm also very pleased with my first experience of fellrunning: 60 minutes up to the top of Seat Sandal; 40 minutes down. Probably walked 50% of the uphill distance.

There's no shame in walking uphill.

Getting a run in the Fells was one of the highlights of last years Scala World for me. Walking/hard hiking is usually the best for uphill. Save the running for going down the other side
