I'm planning to take a quick look at this with @fommil today. He's doing some profiling now. I won't have time until the evening, but go ahead and share ideas if you have any! I have some changes planned to avoid constructing various intermediate objects.

It's exactly that, issue is in the code, not in magnolia, but the code is structured by magnolia. Maybe that https://github.com/propensive/magnolia/issues/107 … (or https://github.com/propensive/magnolia/issues/115 …) would help. Using foldleft-like HoF definitions instead of seq...
