      And in New York it is mostly - 34th St - 42nd St - 63rd St - 86nd St - 125th St Easy. Just have to know which to skip. And which 34th.

      An interesting detail: New York uses the same name for a station multiple times,but in conjunction with the line it becomes unique. Kiev uses station names only once, and even if it is a transfer, the stations of the two lines are named differently.

      And compare this to @djspiewak's note that the Chicago "L" uses (in one case) the same name twice on the same line...

          It’s actually more than one case. On the same line. Chicago’s stop names are messed up.

          I did software for publiic transport some years ago, especially import of data. These were interesting cases, but singularities, where a line does the SAME stop twice in its course were the real thing.
